JLL supports long-time partner Carolina Youth Development Center

Team prepares special dinner party at the center and donates games for the children

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, JLL employees are finding creative ways to support their community partners.

For years, Lee Allen, Managing Director, Brokerage, and his team have cultivated a close relationship with the Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC), a non-profit that helps child abuse victims in South Carolina, and this pandemic has not stopped them. Last month, Lee and his team cooked a special steak feast for the center with 30 pounds of meat, 10 pounds of green beans, desserts and party supplies for the 50 children and staff.

Prior to the pandemic, the team had organized events including a clothing drive, kickball tournament, a Friendsgiving dinner and more for the center. While COVID-19 has halted many activities, the team has every intention of continuing to support the center.

In fact, they recently ordered games and other supplies to help the children stay entertained while they continue to be on lockdown.

“Our kids have come to know and trust JLL’s team members quite well. It is a joy to see them form relationships with caring, committed adults,” shared Beverly Hardin, CEO of CYDC. “It is unique to find a partner willing to create such a meaningful relationship on both the organizational and individual level.”
