February 14, 2018

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (NYSE: JLL) has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the 2018 World's Most Ethical Companies. The honor acknowledges, for the 11th consecutive year, the strong principles of business and professional ethics inherent in JLL's values, culture and strategy as well as its interactions with clients, customers, vendors and employees.

The Ethisphere Institute is a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

"Our values of teamwork, ethics and excellence are central to everything we do at JLL," said JLL CEO Christian Ulbrich. "Working with our clients around the world, we have a responsibility to play our full part in building a better tomorrow."

JLL General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer Mark J. Ohringer added, "Our reputation for integrity is a significant point of pride within our firm. It was the foundation of JLL 250 years ago and will continue to be a differentiator for us."

Ethisphere CEO Timothy Erblich said, "While the discourse around the world changed profoundly in 2017, a stronger voice emerged. Global corporations like JLL, operating with a common rule of law, are now society's strongest force to improve the human condition.  I congratulate everyone at JLL for being recognized again".

 Ethics Drives Performance

Once again, the 2018 World's Most Ethical Companies have proven that operating with integrity leads to greater financial performance. Research has found that, when indexed, the World's Most Ethical Companies outperformed the U.S. Large Cap Index over five years by 10.72 percent and over three years by 4.88 percent. Ethisphere refers to this as the Ethics Premium.

JLL's Philippines Head Christophe Vicic avers: "We've always taken great pride as a company in abiding by the highest ethical standards. We believe that any great work is a product of a culture that embodies values and principles that can never be compromised".

He adds, "We've been operating in the Philippines for 20 years, and our process-oriented approach is what has guided our business operations from the very start. We do not see that changing in the foreseeable future. It is part of our corporate identity. This is who we are as JLL."

Methodology & Scoring

The World's Most Ethical Companies assessment is based upon the Ethisphere Institute's Ethics Quotient® (EQ) framework, which offers a quantitative way to assess a company's performance in an objective, consistent and standardized manner.

Scores are generated in five key categories: ethics and compliance program (35 percent), corporate citizenship and responsibility (20 percent), culture of ethics (20 percent), governance (15 percent) and leadership, innovation and reputation (10 percent).
