Office space demand underscores BPO growth

MANILA - The business process outsourcing industry continues to expand, driving demand for office space, notwithstanding global and domestic uncertainties, property consulting firm Jones Lang LaSalle said Tuesday.​

Despite fears that US President Donald Trump's protectionist policies could slow the industry down, BPOs are the main drivers of office rentals, followed by banking and finance, JLL said.​

The Philippines offers a "cost advantage" compared to its main rival, India, the consulting firm said.​

Bonifacio Global City is the most preferred destination for office space while Makati is the most expensive. Demand in Quezon City is rising, it said. --reports from Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News​
